Amazing care! Nobody wants a broken tooth or extraction, but life happens. Dr Smith made the process as easy as possible. She was especially good about telling me what she was about to do, which really reduced my stress. I had only a local, no pain at all! But she also offers nitrous or a general. I didn't need either. If I ever am in this situation again (hopefully not, right?), I will schedule with her again and not even look elsewhere.

I am sharing my experience with Blue lake, hopefully other patients can learn from my lesson. 1. My son has 6 teeth to be extracted and Doctor Smith forces all of them to be extracted once. I use the word "force" here because she rejected to split the surgery into two times or more. My husband had an experience of spending 1.5 hours for just extracting one single tooth. Her excuse is that she doesn't want to put the patient to sedation more than once. However my feeling is that she wants to make large amount of money more efficiently. I talked to three other clinics, all of them are OK with exacting some teeth and watch the other teeth. 2. The fee from the treatment plan at Blue lake is about $1500 more than the estimate that I got from another clinic. For those people whose insurances don't cover all, this makes big difference. 3. The initial consultation cost us $130 even after the insurance paid. My insurance told me the consultation is supposed to be free to us if we use in network. But Blue lake has the service that the insurance won't cover. So be careful to choose which clinic to have your initial visit. So my overall impression with Blue lake is they care about the money from the patient more than the patient. Although this is probably true anywhere, Blue lake performed more obviously. I also forgot to mention that my insurance paid Blue lake on July 27th, until today I have not received the overpay that I was collected on my initial visit.

I have pretty bad dental anxiety due to experiences with military dentists and Dr. Smith took that into account. I needed a tooth removed and even with gas I was tense. Dr. Smith put me at ease as much as she could and explained everything she was about to do during the entire procedure and ensured I experienced as little discomfort as possible. I followed her post surgery instructions and didn't have any complications or issues and the surgical site healed well. They originally scheduled me a month from my initial appointment but was able to get me in sooner when my issue deteriorated. The staff was very friendly as well. Highly recommend!

i’ve had a great experience here! i got two wisdom teeth extracted with no complications, i’m now about two weeks post-op. the staff is super caring, friendly and women ran which i loved☺️ for the “bad reviews” just do your research and know which questions to ask over the phone, before going in, or at the consultation, they’re super transparent and understanding! i CHOSE to go here and pay out of pocket rather than go somewhere that was covered by OHP to get poor work done, i don’t regret my decision one bit Dr. Smith is amazing (and her staff)!!

She had to refer me to an emergency hospital surgeon and still took the time to follow up with me for three days after I was released from the hospital.
