“A calm water is like a still soul” —Lailah Gifty Akita
Water is a calming force in our lives—from the feel of it on our skin to the gentle sound and appearance of waves. Blue Lake Oral Surgery was established with this concept in mind. We know that going to the oral surgeon can be a daunting experience. Our goal from our first contact with you is to put you at ease. We provide the kind of empathetic care that we would want for ourselves and our family. This dedication to making the patient experience a comfortable one is combined with our high level of expertise and attention to detail.
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. Not only has Dr. Smith completed this advanced training, but she also completed 4 years of medical school and 1 year of general surgery. She manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, and face, practicing full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery. She brings to her practice a gentle, delicate touch and demeanor. Simply put, she treats all patients the way she would want her mom treated.
For patients with significant medical problems, Dr. Smith coordinates care with medical providers to ensure care is provided in a safe manner. Her training as a medical doctor puts her at ease when reviewing medical records and discussing medical conditions with other physicians. Full state of the art monitoring is performed during and after sedation. Patient safety is central to all care we provide.
